Ok, the saga
still continues. Well, they say third time is a charm, right? Dad goes in Friday for a surgical placement of the PEG. They tried two other times with no success. At this point it is vital to get it in. He is dropping weight quickly, cannot eat or swallow... and to top it all off began his once/wk chemo injections yesterday, and of course got sick last night. Poor guy, I feel so bad. I am taking Friday off from work and driving from San Diego to Los Angeles to be with my Mom. He will be in the hospital for about 3 days. I feel confident with his team of doctors, top notch in the field in LA. And I feel that he will be in the best care in the hospital, get the nutrients he needs to work his strength back, and have qualified personal nearby in case something goes wrong with the PEG insertion. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you all again for being here for me in ths crazy time. You have no idea how comforting it is to come here and have my questions answered and have my fears subside after hearing from you. We are truly blessed!
