Thanks for your opinion(s)... the sore has contracted a little and the pain in her mouth has subsided too.

We already went to the consulting specialist and he did not even bother looking at the tongue completely though he palpated her in and around the neck area once to check for the swelling. He was perfectly fine by the improvement.

But, I'd like to admit that we are (very) skeptical for each and everything happening with her... any development in her mouth, neck scares us to extremes.
