Well now that our lives are returning to the new normal, Erik is doing well, same after-effects as everyone else. But two weeks ago he had a disc rupture in his back and had to have emergency surgery to remove the disc. Well meanwhile, my mother went to the dentist and he saw a white patch on her tonsil. He sent her to an ear nose and throat doc, and she also got a CT, the ENT took one look at her throat, and said if he could get a dime for everyone of these (begnin)spots.... Well he didnt look at the CT. Last week he called her back and said that he had just looked at her CT and she needed to come in right away, (January 11th) because he found a "tumor" on the opposite side of throat. So here we go again!! I am much less shocky on this one, Im not going to get antsy until the doctor confirms Cancer, but it sure pisses me off that we may be going through the same thing again. At least I will be a veteran caregiver!
