"Above & Beyond" Member (500+ posts) Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 624 | According to one study on Taxol, 60% of patients taking it as a single agent showed some degree of peripheral neuropathy, although only 5% of these reactions were considered "severe." However it definitely can cause the problem.
Carboplatin, on the other hand, rarely causes neuropathy.
