Got the tube out last Wednesday. However, the interesting thing is that there's less scabbing going on than when I had the tube in. For some reason while I had the PEG tube in, I'd always have scabby stuff developing around the plastic during the day. Guess it was from the discharge or something. Now, I haven't been fooling with it much at all, just letting it heal and washing myself down normally in the shower with soap, but yesterday I noticed that the scabbing is sort of disappearing finally.

I was thinking of the whole "second belly button" thing. I could always tell people that don't know what I've been through that I've been in a knife fight. Got that weird ugly neck dissection scar going on, and the belly wound. After I resolved the scar issues, I looked at the belly in the mirror last night and even the whole "second belly button" look is getting to be less and less.

It's not that I have much hope of having NO scars, but it is pretty comforting that things are healing up pretty good and whatever I do end up having permanently won't bother me too much.

My favorite item at Wendy's is the Frosty. Although I've been reasonably surprised at being able to eat some spicy Indian food and Mexican food lately, the whole chili thing (I'm also having horrible problems with onions for some reason) might send me over the top. Happily though, I've been loading sour cream and guacamole on everything. I've also managed to find baked potatoes tasty again.
