You don't mention what type of dental assistance she needs. There are people who do things like obturators, implants, maxillofacial work, each a sub specialty of prothdontics itself. Dentists as a rule don't like to work with HMO's since the paperwork and reimbursement schedule is horrible. You may have to ask the HMO for a provider and work backwards that way to a prosthodontist. But I will post the numers for the two societies that can give you referrals over the weekend when I gey a chance to collect the proper information for you.
