From what you said in your message to me about his training, I would think he'd support you going for a second opinion from a CCC even though his opinion is that you don't need rad. Don't make the assumption he won't without asking him. And ask him ASAP. Rattle some cages, girl, before you give up on this! This is your health and life we're talking about here!
If you go there, and get an opinion from a CCC that you need radiation, I doubt your local hosptial will ignore that opinion. They will probably "reevaluate your case" and come with the same opinion (I know this because this is what happened to me) and you'll be covered for the treatment.
