Thanks for your reply - that Cisplatin is some rough stuff!

He hasn't been tested for HPV. He also doesn't want to know what stage his cancer is and doesn't want to know any statistics about survival rates ... he says he's just going to beat this cancer and all that info doesn't matter.

I think that having this attitude is helping him stay upbeat and is getting him through the rough part, but I have to admit that I'd like to know if he's HPV positive. Oh well ...

When did you finally get past problems with dehydration?

CG to husband, age 58 (nonsmoker/seldom drinker), Dx SCC right tonsil and one node - tonsilectomy 5/15/07, Rx Cisplatin x 3 with IMRT x 35, Peg 7/6/07, last chemo 7/20/07 and last rad 7/25/07; PET scans clear until 4/10, 9/13/10 diagnosis of "ALL" leukemia, in hospital for 2-4 weeks treatment
