#48255 05-30-2007 10:11 AM | Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 1,940 "OCF across the pond" Patient Advocate (1000+ posts) | "OCF across the pond" Patient Advocate (1000+ posts) Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 1,940 | Hi Sharlee Rob had an excisonal biopsy done on his tongue under general anaesthetic.He went into hospital as a day case and it involved removing the lump,stitching him up and sending the tissue to the pathology department for examination and diagnosis.I do know that Brenfran had her biopsy of a neck lump done with local anaesthetic in the outpatient department .Whichever they do i wish you good luck

Husband Robin aged 44 years Dx 8th Dec 2006 poorly differentiated SCC tongue with met to neck T1N2cM0 Surgery and Radiation.Finished TX April 2007 Recurrence June/07 died July 29th/07.
