Contributing Member (25+ posts) Joined: May 2007 Posts: 27 | My husband was really constipated during the 2nd week of radiation / chemo. He had to finally have a Fleets enema. Now, he takes 3 stool softeners everyday and this helps to keep him regular. He was so crampy and achy that he couldn't stand straight. Mind you, he didn't tell me until it got this bad.
Keep as much fiber in your diet as you can (or through your PEG if you aren't eating by mouth).
