Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 49 | My daughter is at rad treatment #6 with Ethyol (Amaphostine) prior to each treatment. She has been experiencing SEVERE cramping & diarrhea for the last 4 days & the rad onc withheld the Ethyol today thinking maybe the Amaphostine is the cause although diarrhea doesn't appear as a side effect. They did a stool culture & preliminary report shows no infection. She's suffered severe nausea with the amaphostine & is on Kytril, Marinol & Ativan. Has anyone else experienced the diarrhea & severe cramping with amaphostine?
