This country (Australia) ran out of Nilstat a couple of weeks into my radio treatment, so I was recommended Daktarin, which seemed more effective. You coat it all over your mouth and tongue, leave it in for as long as possible, then swallow it. Another one they gave me was Fungulin (Rx), but it takes ages to suck on the large tablets, and then the embarrassing part comes when the yellow paste is stuck on your lips! I looked like Al Jolsen (except I'm white)! I still have some thrush, but I admit I'm slack on doing things all the time. Especially when you're working throughout the whole thing (went back to work part-time a week out of surgery!).
