My father has just been diagnosed with tongue cancer. It is in its early stages. He will be undergoing surgery soon. He does not smoke or drink. The doctor says that after surgery he may possibly need a little radiation therapy.

I wanted to know if there is anyone else out there who has had a similar experience and can share some of their knowledge with me.

I am nervous, anxious and new to all this.

Any advice would be helpful.
