Liz, my chemo was very similar,when I was on the 5FU for 4 days I rinsed my mouth 4 times a day with salt water and ate popsicles a day for the week and the week after and I had very minor sores which lasted only a couple of days, they were not painful and did not cause to stop eating anything at all. Bob age 57, non smoker,non drinker, ended treatment on 11 Nov 2007 and started back to work on 29 Nov 2007. Veterans Day 2012 the Battle was lowered, folded, Taps was played and the Flag buried as I am know a 5 year survivor. Semper-FI !!!
