I was at M. D. Anderson myself last week enduring the ol' scope & choke routine as part of a follow up with my radiation oncologist and thought about you, Danny. First, I'm glad that your current treatment is holding the beast at bay. This is good news. Second, I think your decision to forego your M. D. Anderson appointment was a wise one. There's no sense in throwing that much money at a consultation that will only confirm the correctness of what you are already doing right now.

Base of Tongue SCC. Stage IV, T1N2bM0. Diagnosed 25 July 2003.
Treated with 6 weeks induction chemo -- Taxol & Carboplatin once a week followed with 30 fractions IMRT, 10 fields per fraction over 6 more weeks. Recurrence October 2005.
