Every one of us has been weaned off of them without any lingering addictions. I was on strong stuff for almost a year after treatments ended, and I needed it. Put this concern/fear of all this behind you and use the medications that are available to be comfortable now. There is no need or rational for suffering discomfort as you go through this process. Your doctors deal with this everyday. Let them help you make good decisions, they know a lot more about it than you do.
