glad you ended up getting the Peg. You will grow to appreciate it. Can't figure out why it hurts some folks and not others. My Dad likes to keep a little piece of gauze on the hole, (the nurse said that was fine) he just prefers not to have it exposed. Remember to keep it clean and always flush it. Once it opened up at night and fluid leaked out; other then that he has no problems with it and it doesn't hurt. Tell your nurses if you have problems with it.

Hey Marica that's too funny about the muscles. Another patient/friend thought maybe it hurt because my Dad has a belly and more to go thru; (his didn't hurt at all). So maybe your husband has something here ha ha. My Dad has a hurnia in his stomach, I wonder if it was because it had to go thru that. Dr's don't say why. Well they were behind schedule that day, not sure if they forgot to give him freezing or of anything for pain by IV may have worn off?.......We think the guys were in a hurry to go home! ha

I sure hope it doesn't hurt to take out for those that it hurt to go in.
