Hope all goes well, better the peace of mind than needless worrying. It seems perfectly normal for the survivors on this forum to be wary of ANY & ALL changes in the oral cavity or throat & neck, for that matter. PS. I got a strange,sore,ulcer-like taste bud when I first tried buffalo wings after my surgery, turned out it WAS an inflamed taste bud!
