Has anyone seen this yet?
http://www.nih.gov/news/pr/apr2006/nidcr-10.htm It is a fluorescent scope that is non-invasive and has correctly identified oral cancer almost 100% of the time during the studies, It sound like it might eliminate unneccessary biopsies and would speed up the process in those who get the wrong treatments b/c biopsies were delayed due to not being able to recognize it as cancer. It doesn't mention however, if it would detect tumors that haven't broke the surface of the skin.
This sounds like a great tool - I'm going to ask my dentist at my appointment next week about it. He's the one who found my cancer in the first place.
