Hello All and thanks for the congratulations on Princess Mia (her sisters INSIST we call her that). Mia has not improved over the past 24 hours as they had hoped so there is a good chance she will be transported to Kings Daughters in the morning, a hospital that specializes in children. I am praying hard that won't happen. Watching her breath today I could tell that something was not improving as it should be. They have her in a room with no lights on, no sound, we are not allowed to touch her nor to talk when we are allowed in for a few minutes a few times a day. Her mother is struggling badly with not being able to hold her.
I believe Mia will eventually be fine but that she has a little bit of a rough road ahead of her. The word "unfair" is all I could think while I was watching her abdomen flatten as she struggled to breath. Her hand might be 1/2 inch across the back of it, so tiny. I'm sad to see her have to go through this but am confident she will soon be ok.
I'll keep you posted.
Judy, I do have a grown step son (husbands son from his first marriage) and he and my husband ENJOY being with this group of women. I had my four oldest girls when Tracy (my husband) and I met (ages 8, 7, 5, 4) and he had his boy and girl (ages 5, 4)then he and I had three girls together. His two from his first marriage lived with us for many years while growing up, they would live a year or two with us, then with mom, whose house was within miles of ours. The kids blended and are a part of each others daily lives even though the oldest 5 are all living on their own. Jason, my step son, is a gentle giant. He is tall and muscular but gentle and kind. I attribute that to being raised with all the girls. My husband is opinionated, brash, authoritative........I attribute that to us letting him believe he was the boss for to many years. We have since made him aware of the truth and the women rule again! He is SO outnumbered, even Jason will take our side.
Take care everyone,
Minnie
