I drove to every one of my treatments and then went to work afterword. I would not have enjoyed a 3 hour tour to get there and back however. If you can find a place and it is affordable then I think that is a good idea. As the treatments progress he may need pain medications that could affect his ability to drive safely.
Stubborn positive attitude is a good thing. (by the way that is different than an angry, defensive, bad attitude.)
Mark, 21 Year survivor, SCC right tonsil, 3 nodes positive, one with extra-capsular spread. I never asked what stage (would have scared me anyway) Right side tonsillectomy, radical neck dissection right side, maximum radiation to both sides, no chemo, no PEG, age 40 when diagnosed.
