Shar: Buzz was diagnosed after a dental visit because he thought he had an 'absessed' tooth (#30 right lower jaw). By that time, the scc was visible on the gum; it had already invaded the mandible...and you now know the rest of the story.
HOWEVER, that is NOT to say that you have anything to worry about. DO keep us posted as to your diagnosis.
