I had a head and neck cancer surgeon tell me that operating on radiated tissue was like cutting into a cooked beef roast. I wasn't given a surgical option, only chemotherapy. Yours may be different, every case is, but prepare your self, it isn't going to be pleasant. I am currently in my second recurrence of metatastic disease. Chemotherapy may be your only resolve.
