Please have them only do a biopsy for the reasons I indicated above. I know that it may seem like more work, but if it is cancerous, they will send you to an ENT anyway for further treatment. You can have the oral surgeon do the biopsy, but just tell him you only want the biopsy, not everything extracted. If you don't feel that he is willing to do that, go somewhere else to have it done.

More likely than not, it is benign, but I am also 32, a nonsmoker/nondrinker and I had it for several months before they did a biopsy on me.
