Here's a quick breakdown of the costs.
We have a banquet room set up for Friday night for hospitality, place to check in at arrival, unwind, meet and greet. For those familiar with the hotel this would be the Pearl Room Is $250.00 for the room based on 50 people, this doesn't include refreshments' etc.
Saturday afternoon/evening we have a banquet room set up plus dinner buffet/soft drinks (Dynasty Room) the cost for this was $32.00 per person for the room and food, based on 50 people.
We came up with the 50 person number based on responses on the board, the actual number that have responded by e-mail and sent deposits is quite a bit lower, just enough for a booth at Denny's. (HINT!!)
So actually we're (I'm) hoping the $40.00 asked for covers the additional cost of the snacks for friday night, plus any other expenses such as name tags, etc.
Plus, any left over, (and I have to make an accurate accounting of what came in and went out to the other members of the comittee) will go to OCF of course.
I kind of wondered about prices too when we finally aggreed on the price for banquet, but I remember my 10th high school reunion was about 35 a person, and that was at the firefighters hall. And that was a few years ago
So, there you have it. Tried to keep the room cost down, otherwise about $100 a night for rooms, so in one pocket, out the other I guess.
