It really helps hearing from others in similar situations. I saw the Radiation Oncologist today. He explained all the possibilities to me. Yeah, it was pretty scary to hear what could happen. He seemed very encouraged by my pathology report and the fact that clear margins were obtained during the surgery. He said I don't need chemo. and I was very happy to hear that. Radiation should start in about 3 weeks, but we'll see. I am so looking forward to eating and speaking again. Patience is pretty hard to come by these day, but don't have much choice. I'll get through this. Luckily, my husband is a rock and is with me every step of the way.
