I said a little prayer for you that this spot you have will turn out to be nothing. If it is something, we're here for you. Don't beat yourself up over the fact that you dipped, no one deserves cancer and I don't care if they smoke and drink nonstop..............NO ONE DESERVES CANCER. At times I will see some on this board say things like "and I didn't even smoke" and it kind of takes me back. Women that get breast cancer, plenty of them don't smoke!! Yet they still get cancer. There are plenty of people that DON'T smoke that get oral cancer and plenty that DO smoke that don't get it. I chalk it up to bad luck and, if you have to join our club, please do the same. Let us know what you find out.

SCC Left Mandible. Jaw replaced with bone from leg. Neck disection, 37 radiation treatments. Recurrence 8-28-07, stage 2, tongue. One third of tongue removed 10-4-07. 5-23-08 chemo started for tumor behind swallowing passage, Our good friend and much loved OCF member Minnie has been lost to the disease (RIP 10-29-08). We will all miss her greatly.
