I am in agreement with Minnie If the un-tested nodes are still availible to have them all checked. An unknown primary is not a positive and if a node was at all positive then that is not good either. I believe more sleuthing is in order here. I know you want this behind you but tell them that you need them to solve this mystery before you let it slip into a distant memory.

Mark, 21 Year survivor, SCC right tonsil, 3 nodes positive, one with extra-capsular spread. I never asked what stage (would have scared me anyway) Right side tonsillectomy, radical neck dissection right side, maximum radiation to both sides, no chemo, no PEG, age 40 when diagnosed.
