Hi there,
My husband recently had an almost complete mandibulectomy, he is 54yrs old, otherwise fit and healthy.
His pathology showed positive margin which is not good, 3 nodes affected out of 40 and perinural invasion also.
Recommended radiation 35 doses and chemotherapy.
He does not want to do either. His staging is identical to yours.
Can you please offer some insight into how you have coped and progressed with your treatment decisions? My husband’s father had throat cancer and he saw what he went through with the radiation so is very against it, but like you have pointed out, the odds aren’t good anyway.
Would genuinely appreciate your thoughts and experiences.
Thanks 😊

Thank you
