I too must thank Erik for the club soda suggestion. My DH would not try it last night---stubborn if it doesn't come from his Doc---but today he tried it and called me to tell me it was helping. I was about to throw up my hands with the whole caregiving thing because of his stubborness, but I'm thankful now that he got some relief.

Caregiver to husband David, non smoker. Dx 1/06 SCC Base of Tongue Stage IV, neck nodes involved. Surgery/Chemo/Rad. Treatment finished 5/06. Waiting. Recurrence in lung, Aug07. 6 months Cisplatin/Erbitux. Spots shrinking after 3 Cisplatin tx.
