I’m newly diagnosed with right lateral tongue going in for surgery next week. I also had a distance issue (but it was relatively minor)) I chose the further away hospital because I liked doctor better. What I told myself was “this is my life we are taking about. I shouldn’t be concerned about the drive as it’s not a shopping trip.” That said my commute to the other hospital is only an hour so I’m lucky. This is just my perspective. Switching may be the right thing for you so don’t let me bias you.
