I hope someone can answer a question for me, or put my mind at ease. Hubby had a 1/3 of his tongue removed one month ago. At the time the CAT scan showed no lymph node involvement. The tumor was 6mm in size, 4mm deep with 8mm clear margins. Because of the depth the surgeon wanted to remove the lymph nodes from the effect side just to be safe. Prior to the surgery you couldn’t feel any lymph nodes at all. Since surgery his lymph nodes on surgical side are swollen. We assume it’s from surgery. The surgeon just said his lymph nodes were “juicy” he thinks it is most likely because of surgery but we won’t know for probably 5 days when the results come back. We will be seeing the Dr again tomorrow when he makes his rounds. Are there any additional question we should ask him? Should we be concerned about “juicy” lymph nodes. Thanks in advance for your help,
