I recall on a blood donor application, that they will not take blood or blood products until after five years of remission. It is probably dependant on type of cancer as well. Melanoma survivors, as an example, are probably in a group that won't be accepted as donors. I like to think we are OK even if nobody else wants us. 
Mark, 21 Year survivor, SCC right tonsil, 3 nodes positive, one with extra-capsular spread. I never asked what stage (would have scared me anyway) Right side tonsillectomy, radical neck dissection right side, maximum radiation to both sides, no chemo, no PEG, age 40 when diagnosed.
