Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 1,024 | I second the advice Christine has given you. It does sound to me that you need an urgent appointment at a CCC re a 2nd opinion for your Dad.
I am very puzzled as to why surgical removal of this lump on his lip is not an option.
I wish you the best outcome for your FIL. He is lucky to have you.

PET 6/11 clear.
R) level 2-4 neck dissection 8/1/11 to remove residual node - necrotic with NED
Feb '12 Ca back.. 3/8/12 total glossectomy/laryngectomy/bilat neck dissection/partial pharyngectomy etc. clear margins. All nodes negative for disease. PEG in.
March 2017 - 5 years disease free. Woohoo!
