The SBRT is given in 5 fractions, a day off, 5 fractions, day off, etc. The cumulative dose is expected to be 4,500 Gy over a week and a half with expectations of minimal collateral damage.
For the first time, I really heard a radiation oncologist apologize for the damage we receive, too.
