No one can definitely say what may or may not occur, to what extent, and involves many other processes, including where radiated, the dosage, bilaterally or ipsilateral, concurrently with chemo, etc, but I can say 100% you will have some type of side affect that will have to be managed, and most do get through radiation, although it can be difficult.

The soft palate is part of the oropharynx. Wether this is the original site of the primary cancer, secondary cancer or metastases from another area.
