Patient Advocate (1000+ posts) Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 1,293 Likes: 1 | Welcome to OCF. As other have stated first stop is to get to an ENT or oral surgeon and get it looked at and a biopsy as needed. This is the most expedient way to get more indication of what is going on.
This is a very common procedure so what I would ask when you call around is your desire to have a very fast turnaround. You should be able to find a provider who can ensure you receive a report out in one or two business days at the most.
The reason I raise this is it mind numbing to learn how long the delay is for some folks to get the report. This is something important to you, given your heightened level of stress and anxiety.
