I had my tongue biopsied and it came back as lymphoid hyplasia? Of the lingual tonsil. He didn't test it for HPV. I went back to ENT on Monday this week and told him I'm struggling to breath at night and I don't feel it's getting any better. He pretty much said it had reduced in size and that it was all in my head ( not in those words but that is how I took it) then he said he'd send me for another CT scan of my neck and chest. Well he rang my hubby today nd said the scan results are all ok.. I picked up the scan this afternoon and the report says, that the enlargement on the tongue base has not changed since the previous ct scan, but they did note several nodes on the left side which were 7 mm in size ( I know that's not big) and then there is a node 3mm size on my center lungs? Could that mean that it's getting worse? It's been 4 months since the first CT scan whose to say in another 4 months the nodes might be bigger.. I'm thinking of getting a second opinion. What are your thoughts? Any help would be appreciated
