Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 10,507 Likes: 7 | The PET will not be accurate. You have just had a major surgery and have inflammation. This will make the PET light up with false positives. A PET should have been done prior to surgery. The doc could have seen how invasive it was before he went in.
I would strongly suggest getting a second, maybe even a third opinion.
