We have heard from the software developer, and they believe that we will have an upgrade in our hands in about 1-2 weeks. So assuming that they get the bug fix right, we should be able to put this irritating bit of software malfunction behind us for good.
The board ran fine for years until the standard for server software made a major technological leap that enabled them to run faster. Many programs were slow to upgrade to meet the new server protocol standards. They ran the risk of becoming dinosaurs if they didn't do the work. Smaller less well funded companies, took the longest to respond to the industry standard change.
