Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 10,507 Likes: 8 | Any sore thats in your mouth for 2 or 3 weeks and it does not heal should be checked by a professional (ENT or oral surgeon who specialize in OC patients). To find out what it is they should biopsy it if its been there for 2 or more weeks. Only thru a biopsy will the doc know for certain what the sore is. They can give you a well educated guess but a biopsy will tell you for sure what it is.
Im unclear what you are asking with your question, please clarify it ..... Do mouth and throat cancer share a gene?
