Anyone out there in Maryland know about a clinical trial to restore saliva function. I have read the phase 1 using a gene transfer to administer aquaporin to saliva gland using anadenovirus (cold virus) will likely not be commercially available due to being short lived. About half of participants experience success, but immune system will probably halt the virus. Phase 2 will use adeno associated virus & should be longer lasting. Would like to know status of trial if anyone knows anything. Thanks
