I am a Moffitt patient and I have several level 2 enlarged lymph nodes on the right side of my neck (my cancer was on the left side of my mouth). They have been present for about 3-4 months. On the CT Scan they measured about 1.2-1.5 cm. I have a follow-up appointment at Moffitt on Friday. Should I push for a biopsy of the lymph nodes? The doc said we would re-evaluate the possibility of a biopsy in December if they lymph nodes are still present. I know they are in this weird size category larger than 1 cm, but smaller than 2 cm and on the other side of the neck. Just curious if I should push for the biopsy, I am leaning towards biopsy. Thoughts?
Thanks friends and happy holidays.
