Thank you all for the reassuring comments. The spasms stopped after breakfast and i was free of them all day long until the home care nurse came for the first appt and cleaned the surgery site.

He was very gentle but cleaning under the "gasket" and around the site itself made me rather nauseas. I felt pins and needles in my arms and broke into a serious sweat. I had about an hour of spasms after he left.
