Two months ago I had a lymph node that was 3x7mm picked up on a PET/CT, SUV 4.3, that was biopsied by FNAB under ultrasound guidance, which came back as metastatic cancer. I guess it depends on the location of the lymoh, and experience of the pathologist, and if using ultasound/sonogram. The patholologist was called In for review of the PET, and said he can do an FNAB.
