"Above & Beyond" Member (500+ posts) Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 939 | Bill's port removal required an outpatient visit to a surgical center. I think he got just some light sedation and a local at the port site. Took a morning for both of us since I needed to drive home.
Bill said really no pain. He did have to go back for a retained suture which was keeping the skin area flared up. Once that was out, he healed quickly.
