Chris, just have to say that the surgery sounds to me like it would most definitely be painful 2 weeks out! PLease don't wait a week to talk to your doc about the pain if it's not controlled. They make a best guess but pain control is very individual, not all drugs work the same on all people, and you'll heal faster if your pain is soothed.
