It could be anything, an infection, like thrush, others. See your doctor(s). Anytime there is pain, a recurrence, residual or a new cancer, not that it is, should be ruled out by the doctor. It could be done by a visual, palpable or other diagnostic scan, but the only thing that proves cancer is a biopsy, if they suspect such. Good luck.
