If it was cancer and you've had it for a while, you would be in serious trouble/pain and not just concerned about a small bump. So I wouldn't worry about it too much. There are lots of things that form little hard, benign spots in your mouth. It's probably something that your regular dentist can look at and put your mind to rest about.
