One big dont is with lifting heavy items. My doc advised nothing over 15 pounds for me. Im not very strong anymore so I cant lift more than that anyway. Another big thing is to keep it clean and dry. A gauze pad with a slit cut half way thru the center is called a drain sponge. Keep one of them between your skin and the plastic guide thats on the tube by where it goes into your stomach.
Ive been told be a couple different doctors to avoid swimming. They said the dirty water you are swimming in can seep into your body thru the gap at the peg site. They also said it can irritate the peg site and could cause infections. Maybe it has something to do with which type of tube you have. The Mickey button allows for more freedom. I still swam a couple times with my J/G tube. I even swam with my piccline which was an even bigger no-no. I would wrap myself in the Glad Press and Seal plastic wrap and swim for a few minutes. Ive never ridden on a jetski before so I dont know how strenuous it is and how it affects your abdominal muscles.
Good luck!!!
